Final rehearsal

During our holidays in 2019, we have immersed ourselves in the life of sailors. And funnily enough, this life does not primarily consist of sailing and anchoring but maintaining and repairing: Electronics, electricity, power management, woodwork, mechanics... In short: we sweated, cursed, and sometimes almost despaired. 🛠🤯

Fortunately, there was some sailing too: First, we trained with a sailing instructor for a week. That was valuable! Maneuvering the boat backwards with its relatively long keel is still a matter of luck, but we are getting more confident with the boat.

In fall, we had our first guests onboard. Together we sailed in the Greek islands Patmos, Arki, Lipsi, and Leros. Everything went smoothly, and we had a lot of fun. We even saw a beautiful school of dolphins! As our friend and mentor Jorgos says: dolphins do only follow happy boats. Isn't that a good omen for our upcoming adventure in 2020? We do think so! 🙃🤞🏼
